This post is about a powerful song from Colton Dixon. Before you listen to it, I want to talk about something. Perspective. What does it mean? This is what i found. "a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view." I like that. Perspective is about point of view. Our eyes. Our focus. How do you look at bad things? One way might be, "why is this happening...i can never ______ again." (love, trust, believe, etc...) Another could be, "this is so hard, but i know that God will help me through it." A person going through a very tough time can't be blamed for seeing things from a negative point of view. I believe that sadness and/or anger are very normal human reactions. However, knowing God and learning more about Him and His love for us, will help us to develop a new way of looking at things. (A New Perspective) We are all broken. Sadly, we all will experience tragedy and pain. However, Christians must see a different perspective instead of just the negative. We must see God in all of it. God, who is sad as we suffer. God, who loves us and helps hold us up during the difficult times. God, who wants us to learn lessons and to become closer to Him. God, who knows that living in this sin filled place is so discouraging, that He sent a savior and has prepared for us, a new perfect place to live for eternity. This new place, is a place where none of these sad and terrible things will ever happen again. So, look for the positive. Look ahead for the new life in heaven. That is a new fresh perspective. Check out this great song intertwined with some amazing testimonies.
