This devotion was read to me recently at a church meeting. It is another creative, but very insightful look at how Jesus, the good shepherd, takes care of us. I am sure you can agree that all people feel like a reject at times. We might even think that no one cares for us. Let this devotion be another reminder to the contrary. Never forget that the liar, Satan, will try to convince you that you are worthless and hopeless. Instead know that God loves us no matter what state we are in, and will walk with us, whether we are in the dark valley or high on a mountaintop!

Verse for Consideration:

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
