We all have experienced pain and sorrow. Some more than others I am sure. The pain of living in a sinful world is very real! My wife and I struggled years ago with 2 miscarriages. The pain and sorrow was very difficult. However, through this valley in our lives, we met and talked with so many people who also had similar experiences. This was a comfort and brought us some relief to the loneliness and lessened the fear to talk about this horrible experience. It also allowed us to minister to people in similar situations, even as we were being ministered to. This devotion talks about how important it is for Christians to be ready and willing to help others. When we look for people to help in times of need, I think we will be surprised how many people we can share similar situations with, and in those shared experiences, God can work amazing blessings for both.

Verse for Consideration

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
