A great devotion reminding us that our focus should not be on the outside but on the inside. Looking good doesn't mean that our heart is in the right place. The Bible is clear that God looks past our flaws in Jesus name, but he judges our hearts! We should aim to be like David who, we are told in Acts 13 was a "man after God's own heart."

Verses for Consideration:

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
