Jonah, Not About The Fish

This is a quick devotion about the Old Testament prophet, Jonah. Jonah was a prophet who didn't want to do what God asked of him. He went so far as to get into boat and go the other direction! In this devotion, the author makes a point of saying Jonah's story is not about the great fish. Instead he says, this is a story about the human condition and more importantly, God's great love and patience!


Verses for Consideration:


The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.


Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
